The New Brunswick Express Entry stream is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals in the federal Express Entry pool who want to make New Brunswick their permanent home. Certain occupations in accommodation, food services, and retail sectors are excluded from consideration as of February 3, 2026.
Effective February 3, 2026, Immigration New Brunswick (ImmigrationNB) will not consider expressions of interest (EOIs) or issue invitations to apply (ITAs) under the New Brunswick Express Entry stream for candidates working in the accommodation and food services sector (NAICS 72) and certain retail occupations, regardless of sector. Candidates must be working full-time in non-seasonal positions under TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3 for at least 12 months in New Brunswick.
